This installment will focus on self-esteem. It’s one of my favorite topics because it made me feel great after reading and getting to know myself better.
Here are some of my research findings on self-esteem. “Self-esteem” as one’s overall sense of self-worth. In essence, this is how you see yourself. Your sense of self-worth, confidence, competence, and belonging can all help. Self-esteem issues are serious because they affect so many aspects of one’s life.
Self-esteem is more than just liking oneself. You must also believe that you are worthy of love and respect for your own and others’ feelings and thoughts.
However, low self-esteem can lead to a host of psychological issues. Anxiety and stress occur constantly, even when we aren’t aware of it. Using harmful substances and behaving in ways that harm others is even riskier. Disorders like anorexia nervosa, panic disorder, and social anxiety disorder can jeopardize people’s physical and mental health. Stress is also possible.
To achieve goals and form supportive relationships requires self-esteem. Excessive exposure to the chemical may exacerbate anxiety and depression, to name just two conditions.
Keep a positive outlook and consider the best-case scenario. Think of the positive aspects of life every day. Allow yourself to be proud of your accomplishments and strengths. When you think about past triumphs, remind yourself that even if you don’t feel well right now, you have the ability and strength to overcome.
Here are some ideas to boost your confidence. Get out there and enjoy yourself. Exercise can improve your mood. Decide on a talent. Keep a gratitude journal to record all of your blessings. Confront a negative outlook on life. Find new friends who inspire you to be your best. Volunteer to give back to your community. Recognize that everyone has blundered Small and big wins are worthy of praise and acclaim.
