Continuing on where I left off in the previous post: in this time, I’d like to share about our physical appearances.
There is no one standard when it comes to fashion, because there are so many variations to the human form. We talked about in the previous post the need to feel beautiful from the inside out. Let me help you to become more aware of your own body shape right now!
Finding your personal style starts with knowing your body Shape.
1. Triangle downwards
Wide shoulders, bust, and hips This person may wear light-coloured tops with heavy outerwear. Accentuate your waistline with a flared hem shirt and a belt. It goes well with slacks.
2. Rectangular
Slack waist and matching hip and bust proportions are common characteristics for such body type. Enhance your proportions with matching top and bottom. A flowing top necessitates a flowing bottom. On the other spectrum, contrasting top and bottom colours can bring out your proportions well too!
3. Triangle upwards
For body types like this, the hips are typically larger than the chest, which makes the waistline a very attractive asset! Wear bulky upper body clothing to bring attention to your waist. Avoid very loose or boxy apparel; don’t hide them assets!
4. Triangles opposing, facing inwards
This body shape features fairly equal hip and bust proportions with a thinner waist. Flaunt you contours with fitted clothing; don’t hide them! Be sure not to go too tight on your clothing so as not to hinder your natural form from showing (and stay comfy!). Writing pieces that favour one side over the other is best avoided.

An elegant high waistband, a window checkered pattern throughout, and fashionable on-seam pockets distinguish this pair of jogger type trousers from the others. For a relaxed look, pair it with a cropped turtleneck and sneakers.
Ultimately, selecting garments that are both comfortable and flattering begins with understanding and embracing our body type. Increasing our self-assurance begins with figuring out what works for us.
