Sotheby’s will release the Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low in an exclusive auction next week. There will be only 200 pairs available at the auction.
Virgil Abloh was an architect, designer and creative director for Kanye West. He was the founder of Pyrex Vision and OFF-WHITE too. Virgil Abloh died due to cancer on November 28, 2021. However, his works remain through the impact he had on the fashion industry, pop culture, and creative groups. And, this month, one of his most anticipated works will be available to the public through Sotheby’s.

For this launch, the Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Nike and Sotheby’s for the auction and charity. They made 200 pairs of Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force 1 Low in Fiesso d’Artico, Italy. The collections are designed with uppers that feature a duo of LV’s distinctive patterns and premium quality fabrics. The shoes range in size from 5 to 18.

According to the Sotheby’s listings, the rarest sizes for this special collections are 5, 5.5, 16, 17, and 18, with just one pair of each created. While the size that has the most pairs is 8 size, with 28 pairs available. The sneakers packaging is an orange Louis Vuitton pilot case, which will be available only at this auction.

Bidding for this Sotheby’s auction will take place from January 26 through February 8 and will begin at $2,000 USD. 100% of the auction result will be for The Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund that support the education of promising Black, African-American, and African students.
