Celebrating the upcoming Tiger Year 2022, Gucci launched the Fabulous Tiger collection that will makes your inner tiger roar.
The campaign for Gucci’s new collection is reminiscent of Judith Kerr’s classic children’s fable, ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea.’ The story of the about a tiger joining the small girl for tea in the afternoon. Gucci has designed a line of ready-to-wear and accessories to commemorate the Tiger Year 2022.

Alessandro Michele, Gucci’s Creative Director, conceived the campaign by himself. Then it shot by photographer and director Angelo Pennetta, with genuine tigers wandering the streets. Following a scene from the book, the scenario of campaign is a group of friends drinking tea with the presence of an actual tiger.

The Tiger motif isn’t new to Gucci as Gucci has been reinvented Tiger motif on apparel and accessories numerous times. The new print, on the other hand, is a reimagining of an archival design from 1960s by Vittorio Accornero. He is the designer and illustrator behind the House’s iconic Flora design. The limited edition collection is the tribute to the year of tiger, with its combination of the animal pattern and exquisite artwork.

You can see the printed, painted, hand-applied, or patched tiger pattern throughout the collection. Outerwear, knitwear, jackets, t-shirts, denim, shirts, and even skirts with an all-over print are available in the ready-to-wear area. The trench coat has the Gucci Tiger design in the lining for a more understated look.

The eco-friendly watches which feature a recycled steel case, dial, and strap made from the brand’s animal-free Demetra material. Gucci continues to use sustainable, renewable, and bio-based raw materials. Even, The package Paper supplied from ethically managed forests, ribbons made of 100% organic cotton, handles made of 100% recycled polyester, and knotted packaging to eliminate the use of glues.
