David Koma, a British designer, has collaborated with Ilana Kugel, the creator and creative director of Koral, on a sportswear capsule collection that brings the two designers’ distinct design sensibilities together.
Described in the press release as “edgy cuts and layerable sets for transitional dressing,” the 24-piece ‘luxeleisure’ collection, a concept established by Koma and Kugel, was created with the purpose of appealing to a metropolitan lifestyle.
In the construction of each item, Italian French Terry and Koral Blackout fabric are used, which is a sustainable biodegradable material created in the United States that employs local water and solar panel technology.
Its color scheme is comprised of neutrals that are juxtaposed with brighter hues, with the objective of blending in seamlessly with the rest of the consumer’s outfit.
“I’ve drawn inspiration from athleticism on a number of occasions throughout the years, which is why it was a great pleasure to work on this collection,” Koma added. “It was a pleasure to work with Ilana and the rest of the Koral team to develop a luxeleisure collection that is both environmentally friendly and ageless.”
